Living On the Up High, Not the Down Low - Aaron Smith

Is There Really a Shortage of Good Black Men?

It is with great humility that I address to you, the state of affairs between good Black men and their relationships with African American women.

According to society at large, we apparently have a problem. That stated problem proposes the message of there being a shortage of good Black men due to high levels of imprisonment, issues of homosexuality, lack of education, and much more. However, what you will soon discover is that these myths and so-called problems do very little when it comes to representing any type of realistic display when it comes to America’s population of good Black men.

I cannot deny the fact that the issues many men bring forth create the tendency to severely distract them from overall goals and directives, or that they represent a smaller population of the African American race. Nevertheless, My book, Is There Really a Shortage of Good Black Men? references opposition to any and all theories related to any type of shortage or retreat of good Black men.

From historic facts and findings rarely discussed or mentioned, to easy to use techniques, and methods, Is There Really a Shortage of Good Black Men? Defeats much resistance in an effort to provide a better way for our people to understand the stances of good Black men who desire and value relationships and lives with good Black women.

This book promotes thought and discussions requiring introspection and prospective self-evaluations that are very healthy and much needed. It also provides detail to how men really think and feel about distinctive views with women regarding their arduous fight for recognition, acknowledgment, support, and love, in a world filled with doubts, myths, and overwhelming delusions about the state of the good Black men everywhere.

I pray this book inspires and provides a great sense of empowerment for both good Black men and women willing to stand together in unity in order to fight the issues, myths, and assumptions we see within our communities and environments. As African American singles and couples, we must stand together and define our realities and relationships, and not let rumors and mass media's unconfirmed statistical reports do that for us. So, take my hand on your journey through the pages of Is There Really a Shortage of Good Black Men? For it will help you enhance your relationship outlook and understanding related to the depth of our potential.
